SNK Announces THE PATH OF THE WARRIOR: ART OF FIGHTING 3 R for PC Steam

ART OF FIGHTING 3 R Steam

SNK has revealed THE PATH OF THE WARRIOR: ART OF FIGHTING 3 R, a remastered version of the 1996 NEOGEO classic, as the latest title joining its NEOGEO Premium Selection label on Steam. A release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but an announcement trailer is available now.

Originally released in 1992, Art of Fighting is one of SNK’s flagship franchises and played a major role in shaping the early competitive fighting game scene. Art of Fighting 3, a spin-off entry set in Glasshill Valley, follows a diverse cast of martial artists through their own personal battles and stories, and has long been considered the most distinctive entry in the series for its tone and presentation.

This remaster aims to preserve what made the original stand out while bringing it up to modern standards. Online multiplayer with rollback netcode is included, along with a dedicated Practice Mode and a VS Mode for head-to-head play. The remaster also adds two fan-favourite characters to the roster for the first time in this entry: King and Yuri Sakazaki both join as playable fighters in Art of Fighting 3 R.

More details, including pricing and a release date, are expected to be announced at a later date. The same can be said of its official Steam page. There is no further information about the game at the moment. Make sure to check back soon to see if there is any new announcement from SNK regarding its upcoming release.
