Developer IguanaBee Studios and publisher GameMill Entertainment have announced the release date of their upcoming title Skull Island: Rise of Kong. Skull Island: Rise of Kong will be released on September 10, 2023, on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. Skull Island: Rise of Kong is a brand-new title that features Kong and is an origin story for the king of Skull Island. In this game, you will experience the past of how Kong was orphaned at birth and later evolved into the fearsome creature worthy of being called the king of Skull Island.

In this newest adventure of Kong, you will be playing Kong and living through his life’s past events. Your ultimate goal is your revenge against Gaw however you have a long way to go as you start your journey from Kong becoming an orphan. Gaw and its minions have control of Skull Island and you will need to deal devastating combos to dominate them and unleash your built-up rage to heighten the impact of each of your attacks. You will also be able to roar and send the enemies running in fear or if they decide to stand and fight, finish them off with brutal finishing moves.
As you travel Skull Island and face more and more enemies, you will also gain new powers by completing special events and defeating powerful bosses in intense fights. These additional skills and abilities will allow you to unleash Kong’s full potential and finally face the final boss. The game will feature many iconic locations featured in Skull Island before in different mediums such as the cel-shaded environments of mountainous terrains, jungles, swamps, skullite-filled caves, and many others.

Apart from the base edition, you can also grab the Colossal Edition for $49.99 which includes eight film grains for nostalgic effects in the game along with a boss-rush mode and a BTS exclusive pack including looks at the in-game artwork and all-original orchestral soundtrack.
