Visit Hirata Estates in a New Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Gameplay Footage

Sekiro Shadows Die Twice Gameplay

A new exclusive Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Gameplay footage showcases Hirata Estates which is the starting area for the game. The new gameplay footage comes exclusively by Game Informer who managed to get their hands on the game and tried the early areas of the game.

During their gameplay, Game Informer state that Hirata Estates area is not related to the main story in any way yet it holds a very special place in the game. This area is basically a memory and is accessed by a magical bell. The area serves as a memory flashback and players can access them only once.

However, this does not mean that this area is a very small area and will be over quickly. Players will face different types of enemies here even mini bosses and a final boss at the end of the level to complete it. The level looks gorgeous as the visual details are very different from the dark and gloomy environments of Dark Souls games.

The introductory level will also give players a very open and wide view of the level and will introduce them to all the cool new mechanics of the game. The grapple will come in handy here to move around the area and since the area is pretty wide open, players can use the grapple in creative ways and eliminate enemies in different ways.

Players also have the ability to swim in the game which makes traversal even more easier and flexible. Combining swimming, grappling and stealth takedowns will allow players to easily eliminate any threats without much trouble. Killing smaller enemies also replenish your health so they are a good source for health while fighting bosses or mini bosses in the game.

The game also features revolving doors which fit perfectly in the environment and theme of the game. Instead of going through illusionary walls, players will this time around access to further areas via revolving doors which is actually a cool mechanic according to Sekiro’s setting.

Earlier we also got to know why Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is a singleplayer only game and why multiplayer was never considered for it.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is releasing on March 22, 2019 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
