Update: Sega has confirmed that Yakuza Kiwami 2 is coming to PC via Steam and has released a brand new trailer for the title as well. Yakuza Kiwami 2 is arriving next month on May 9, 2019, and pre-orders are live right now on Steam. Check out the new trailer below.
Sega has teased Yakuza Kiwami 2 for PC as it recently changed their publisher profile picture on Steam which shows Goro Majima’s eyepatch. Anyone who has played Yakuza titles will know that Goro is a major Yakuza character and since Yakuza Kiwami is already out for PC, we are certain that the title being teased here is Yakuza Kiwami 2.
Sega has teased its upcoming titles before as well in the most unique ways which turned out to be true. With the case of Yakuza Kiwami 2, we can be even more certain because recently Yakuza Kiwami 2 was rated for PC in the US. ESRB rated the title when it gave it an M for mature rating however Sega has been quiet about the title so far.
The recent change for the publisher profile picture could very well mean a subtle hint by Sega that something is up and we can expect a trailer drop soon or at least a title reveal soon. The game might arrive on PC sooner or later as well because Sega is not very keen on teases and delays like most companies who start dropping teasers months before release or even a reveal.
Sega released Yakuza Kiwami on PC in February and now it might be bringing the second title as well which is confirmed by the ESRB rating for the title. Yakuza titles were PS4 exclusive until now and Yakuza Kiwami is the only title that is on PC so far. With the initial titles coming out on PC, it is only a matter of time that Sega brings the whole franchise to PC as well.
If you do not know about the Kiwami titles, Yakuza Kiwami 1 and Yakuza Kiwami 2 both are remastered versions of Yakuza 1 and 2. They are the same titles but with better visuals and improved overall mechanics. They were both released on PS4 initially but now it seems that both of them will be available to PC players as well if the second part also comes to PC.
