This Saros Prophet Boss Battle Guide details all the tips and tricks needed to defeat Prophet easily. The first major boss in Saros is Prophet, found at the end of the Shattered Rise area. This fight can feel overwhelming at first because of how many attacks fill the screen, but once you understand the patterns and what to focus on, it becomes much more manageable. The key is staying mobile, knowing when the boss can be damaged, and reacting quickly to its attacks.
Prophet Boss Battle Guide – Saros
The boss fight takes place in three phases, which are listed below.
Phase 1 – Breaking the Boss Open
As soon as the fight begins, positioning is very important. The outer edge of the arena is covered in red grass that slows your movement, so it is best to avoid staying there for too long.
At the start, Prophet cannot be damaged. To make it vulnerable, you need to destroy the glowing creatures attached to the walls around it. Once they are gone, the boss opens up, giving you a chance to attack. Don’t waste time shooting the boss when it is closed; focus on these targets instead.
During this phase, Prophet fires different types of projectiles. Some are large clusters of blue bullets, while others form wide waves that turn into homing attacks. You will need to dodge or absorb these depending on the situation.
There are also yellow attacks to watch out for. Some travel along the ground in small bursts, and you can avoid them by standing between the gaps. Another common move is a circular shockwave that spreads across the ground, which you can jump over or dodge through.
The main attack you will often see is a series of yellow waves fired in different directions. These usually come in three parts: one diagonal, another in the opposite direction, and then a horizontal wave. Staying on the move helps you avoid them, and jumping is often the safest way to deal with the horizontal ones.
Before these waves are fired, a small visual hint indicates their direction. If you notice it, you can prepare your movement in advance. A simple trick is to jump and slightly adjust your position in the air to avoid these attacks more safely.
From time to time, the boss will close up again, and you will need to repeat the process of destroying the wall creatures to make it vulnerable once more. During early phases, you can avoid attacks in different ways: jumping, dashing, or a mix of both. It is a good idea to experiment and see what feels most comfortable for you.
This becomes important later because the same attacks return but much faster, so having a method you are confident with helps a lot.
Phase 2 – More Pressure
Once the first health bar is gone, the fight becomes more chaotic. Prophet starts dropping projectiles that land on the ground and create patches of slowing red grass. It is better to destroy these quickly instead of focusing only on the boss. Clearing them gives you more room to move and makes the fight safer overall. These also release bursts of yellow attacks when they hit, so it is important to destroy them quickly.
New attack patterns appear as well. You will see rings of projectiles moving toward you, which require careful positioning and dodging to avoid. A safer approach is to wait briefly, then dodge when the circles are closer together. This timing makes it easier to pass through without getting hit.
Ground waves also return, but this time they cover the entire area, meaning you must dodge or jump instead of standing in safe gaps.
The earlier attacks are still present, but they now come in longer sequences, making them harder to avoid. You will need to stay focused and keep moving constantly.
Phase 3 – Limited Space, Faster Attacks
In the final phase, the arena becomes smaller as walls appear on both sides, limiting your movement. This makes everything feel much tighter and more intense.
The boss doesn’t gain new attacks here, but all existing ones become faster and more frequent. Because of this, it is best to focus on ending the fight quickly rather than playing too defensively.
Move back and forth between the walls to avoid diagonal attacks, and keep jumping over ground waves. If you are confident, you can also use your shield to absorb some projectiles and build energy, then use your power weapon to deal damage and slightly interrupt the boss’s attacks.
Reward for Defeating Prophet
Once you defeat Prophet, you will receive a good amount of 400-450 Lucenite as a reward. After that, you can move forward through the path behind the boss to activate a teleporter, which takes you back to the Passage.
This also unlocks the next area, allowing you to continue your journey further into the game. That is all for this guide. Additional Saros guides are linked below:
