Those thin, glowing lines you sometimes see stretched across gaps are called Eclipse Threads. They act like fast travel paths that let you move across large distances instantly. Without them, certain areas and side paths would be completely unreachable.
When They Become Available
For a good portion of the game, you won’t be able to interact with these threads. They only become usable after you progress far enough into the Desecrated Fortress area.
Once unlocked, the ability stays with you permanently, so you can use Eclipse Threads whenever they appear.
How to Use Them
After unlocking this feature, using an Eclipse Thread is simple. Just move close to one and press the required L1 button, and your character will quickly travel along it to the other side.
The movement is fast and smooth, making it an easy way to cross large gaps without risk.
When They Appear
Eclipse Threads are not always visible. They only show up when the Eclipse is active, so that you won’t see or use them during normal exploration. This means you will need to take advantage of them while the Eclipse is on.
Most of the time, these threads lead to optional areas filled with rewards. If you notice one nearby, it is usually a good idea to follow it and see where it goes.
If you ever see unreachable paths or distant platforms, look around carefully for these faint lines. Once you unlock them and the Eclipse is active, they can open up new routes and make exploration much more rewarding.
