New Character to Join the Roster of Samurai Shodown is Shiki

Samurai Shodown Shiki

The fourth character to be included in Samurai Shodown has been revealed to be Shiki. She comes after the additions of Darli Dagger, Ukyo Tachibana and Nakoruru. A trailer was also released that showed a little something of this twin katana wielding fighter.

Shiki can be seen to be a speedy character who has the special ability to teleport. She wields two identical katana blades and have names for both of them. One of the kata is called Darkness Demon Ring, and the other is called Light God Ring. Her appearance also compliments her blades as she has one blue and red eye, and a snake tattoo on her back which is a mark made by Yuga to control her.

Take a look at the Shiki trailer released by SNK:

Shiki made her debut back in 1997 in Samurai Shodown 64. She was born into the servitude of the evil Yuga, and assigned to find her master new bodies to inhabit. Shiku’s soul was freed however when Haohmaru defeats Yuga. Following this, Shiku was free to live herself as her own woman.

Talking about her attacks, she mostly has spinning and circular motions, allowing her to turn herself into a spinning and slashing attacker. Shiki is flirtatious and this allows her to lure opponents before cutting then down with relative ease.

Samurai Shodown is an upcoming game in the fighting series that is developed by SNK and published by Athlon Games.
