Respawn VR

Respawn Entertainment which is known for games Titanfall, Apex Legends, and the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, is going to reveal its upcoming VR shooter game next month. The game is set to be revealed during the Oculus Connect 6 event.

The studio has not shared any other information or details about the game. Which leaves us wondering if it will be a spin-off version of Apex Legends or its Titanfall franchise. It can also be a brand new story from the studio, which also sounds quite interesting.

A teaser released back in 2017 told us what type of VR game Respawn is working on. From the details, it made sense that it was going to be a first-person shooter. Take a look below at the teaser posted in 2017.

Back then CEO of Respawn Entertainment Vince Zampella talked about how VR gaming changes the experience of first-person shooter games and about partnering with Oculus for their project.

At Respawn it’s about creating an authentic experience. We really want to depict being a soldier in combat in a more fully fleshed out and realistic way. [Gaming in VR] is more visceral and more terrifying. I think together we’re going to make something really remarkable.

For more details, you will have to watch the Oculus Connect 6 event which is scheduled to take place on the 25 to 26 of September at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California. A release date for the game has not been confirmed as of yet, but Respawn Entertainment plans to release it this year in 2019. We will likely get a release date on Oculus Connect 6 event next month, so watch out for that.
