In this Resident Evil 2 Remake Medallions Guide, we will guide you on where you can find the three medallions and how to solve the puzzles in order to retrieve the three medallions. The three medallions are hidden behind puzzles which must be solved to retrieve them. Once you have all three medallions, you can open a secret room and complete the game much quickly.

We have detailed the locations of all three statues which are actually the puzzles. Upon solving the puzzle on each statue, you will be given a medallion. Each statue has a specific code which needs to be entered in the statue’s base. However, you must note that these codes are different for your first and second playthrough.

Before we start with the guide it is worth mentioning here that you can find these statues and obtain the medallions yourself as well without using this guide. If you prefer finding them on your own, you can with the help of material that you find while playing the game.

If you are on your first playthrough, you will get a note with all instructions when you reach a certain part of the story. If you are on your second playthrough, you will find the answers in three random items hidden across the police department building. These items are notebook, scrap of paper and a film roll.

Below we have detailed the location of all three medallion locations and their solutions.

Lion Medallion

The Lion Statue is located in the main hall. After climbing the stairs to reach the second floor, the Lion Statue is right in front of you. Go to the statue to retrieve the Lion Medallion. Codes for unlocking this statue are

  • First Playthrough: Lion, Leaf, Bird
  • Second Playthrough: Crown, Sconce, Bird

Unicorn Medallion

To obtain the Unicorn Medallion, you must first find the Unicorn Statue. To located the statue, you must play the story until the point where you get the Cutting Tool. Once you have it, head to the ground floor of the Police Department building and open the big office in the east. Inside, make your way to the far side of the room where you will find a round lever.

Interact with this lever to turn off the showers located on the second floor above the Dark Room on the west of the building. Now make your way to this area and cross the showers to reach a corridor. Here you will see S.T.A.R.S. Office and Linen Room. Avoid both and go to the end of the corridor where you will see another door.

Enter through this door and you will find the Unicorn statue. The codes to unlock this statue and retrieve the medallion are detailed below.

  • First Playthrough: Fish, Scorpion, Jug
  • Second Playthrough: Children Holding Hands, Scales, Worm

Maiden Medallion

This statue is located in the West Storage Room. To get access to this particular room, you must detonate the C4 on the gate blocking your access to this room. Head to the S.T.A.R.S. office and collect the battery from there. Now head to the Operations Room and collect the electronic device from there located inside the chained door.

Combine both of these items to create a detonator and use it to explode the C4. Once the gate is open, you can go in to the Maiden statue and collect the Maiden medallion. The codes to open the Maiden statue are detailed below.

  • First Playthrough: Maiden, Bow, Snail
  • Second Playthrough: Ram, Harp, Bird

After acquiring all three medallions in the same playthrough, you can head back to the Main Hall, interact with it and open the Secret Room which will help you to shed a lot of time on your playthrough.
