Resident Evil 2 Demo Launching This Friday, Will Only Run 30 Minutes

Resident Evil 2 Demo

Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 2 demo is coming out on January 11 however there is a big catch. The demo will only run for 30 minutes and after that players will not be able to play it again.

For this very reason, Capcom has named this demo 1-Shot Demo because it will literally give players a onetime chance to experience the upcoming Resident Evil 2 which is the remake of the 1998 classic horror game.

During the demo, players will play as Leon Kennedy who is a rookie cop and is investigating the Raccoon City Police Department. During this demo, players will experience familiar environments and levels which have been previously shown at E3 and other events in 2018.

The demo will have a fixed runtime of only 30 minutes and after this is over, the demo will also be over. During these 30 minutes, players can die as many times as they want and they will respawn however, once the 30 minutes have passed, the demo will be over for good.

At the end of this 30-minute demo, players will see a brand new demo exclusive trailer for Resident Evil 2 which has never been seen before and will show players more from the upcoming horror classic remake.

Even if you fail to reach the end of the demo, you will still be able to see the ending video so you do not have to worry about that. However, if you do want to see the ending of the demo, you will need to hurry up in the demo as 30 minutes will not allow you to explore each and everything in the level.

This 1-Shot Demo is the same demo which was leaked on Microsoft Store last December however no details were known at that point about the strict time restriction of the demo. Previous Resident Evil game also received a demo but players were able to explore the complete demo at their will without any time frames or limitations.

Earlier, Capcom also released a teaser trailer for Resident Evil 2 Safehouse and they will be hosting a live stream event as well before the launch of the game on January 22.

The 1-Shot Demo of Resident Evil 2 will be available for downloading from January 11 to January 31 after which players will not be able to download the demo.

Resident Evil 2 is slated for release later this month on January 25, 2019 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
