Nvidia RTX 2060 SUPER 1440p

The Nvidia RTX 2060 is a great card for 1440p gaming. It has a lot of power to offer but users complain that the VRAM is not enough. 6GB of VRAM can be limiting when playing on higher resolutions. Enthusiasts do have a point. When it comes to the 1440p sweet spot, the Nvidia RTX 2060 SUPER could change things.

The Nvidia RTX 2060 SUPER comes with 8GB of VRAM rather than 6GB. It also has a wider bus. This might seem like minor improvements on paper it could change things quite a but when it comes to actual in-game performance.

We will need to see what kind of performance benefits the card has to offer as compared to the non-Super model and whether or not it is worth the increase in price.

One thing is for sure. If you are looking to play games at 1440p then the 8GB VRAM will be a major improvement compared to 6GB especially if you are using high-resolution textures. Which you most likely are if you are playing games at 1440p.

The cards will be announced tomorrow. The reviews will be out in a few days and these cards will be available on the 9th of July alongside the RTX 2070 SUPER. The AMD Navi cards are going to release around the same time as well. So, things should be pretty interesting.
