Nvidia GTX 1660

The Nvidia GTX 1660 has been rumored for a while now and we have got plenty of leaks that told us about this card before Nvidia could confirm it. Now Nvidia has confirmed that the Nvidia GTX 1660 and the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti do actually exist. It was more of a teaser rather than an announcement but rumors would have us believe that these cards will be released next month.

While there is little that we know about these cards, it is speculated that these cards will costs similar to the RTX 2060 and will perform a bit better but will not come with RTX features such as real-time ray tracing support or DLSS technology. This means that users that are not interested in RTX features will have an alternate option from Nvidia.

It will be interesting to see what kind of performance the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti and non-Ti version will have to offer as compared to the RTX 2060 and the Pascal series of cards that came out a while back. The timing is rather interesting keeping in mind that we just spotted the AMD Navi graphics cards in the latest MacOS Mojave update source code.

While there is no clear release date, it is speculated that these mainstream cards will release in July. E3 would be a great platform to announce these cards if that is indeed the case. It will be interesting to see what kind of performance AMD Navi graphics cards will have to offer keeping in mind that it is rumored that these cards will cost less than $250. AMD will have the price advantage but we will have to wait and see what both companies bring to the table before jumping to conclusions.

These are not the only GTX branded cards that have been spotted recently, we also saw the GTX 1180 as well. This could be another Turing based non-RTX graphics card or a GPU that is specifically for laptops. Only time will tell. We will keep you updated regarding the matter so stay tuned for more information and news.

Let us know what you think about the Nvidia GTX 1660 and whether or not you are interested in getting one of these graphics cards rather than the RTX 2060.
