The Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti has been leaked a couple of times and we have got leaks from not only MSI but multiple models from Asus and Zotac have been leaked as well. The leaks are so real that we expect the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti to release later this month or in early March.

Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti performance benchmarks in Ashes of the Singularity have leaked and the performance is similar to the GTX 1070. It is also 25% better than GTX 1060. The quality was set to high and the resolution used for the test was 1080p. Keeping all this in mind the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti performance was very decent indeed. You can check out the numbers below:

  • RTX 2060 – 5500
  • GTX 1070 – 4900
  • GTX 1660 Ti – 4800
  • GTX 1060 – 3800

We thought that the GTX 1660 Ti would be an alternative for the RTX 2060 for people that were not interested in ray tracing but that does not seem to be the situation here. From what we can see the RTX 2060 is more powerful and the Nvidia GTX 1160 Ti is clearly not on the same level. It is much closer to the performance of the GTX 1070.

It is also worth mentioning that Ashes of the Singularity is not really a reliable benchmark and that we do not know what kind of drivers were used in order to do the testing or if this was even a final version of the graphics card. This could be an engineering sample. Some reports suggest that the Nvidia GTX 1160 Ti will release next week so we will have more information for you in a few days.

While we are on the topic of Nvidia graphics, we have spotted the MX 250 graphics solution for thin and light laptops yet again. This time in the MSI Prestige series of notebooks. The RTX Mobile graphics cards have also been announced. AMD, on the other hand, is working on an alternative to DLSS and thinks that it is not really worth it.

Let us know what you think about the Nvidia GTX 1160 Ti and whether or not this is something that you might be interested in.
