After spending more than 15 years with Nintendo of America, the president and COO Reggie Fils-Aime is finally saying good bye to his office this April. He will retire from his position in the company and the office will be taken over by none other than Bowser himself.

Doug Bowser is currently the Senior VP of Sales and Marketing and will join his new office this April. After the announcement, Reggi Fils-Aime sent out a heartfelt message to all the Nintendo community around the world stating

I wanted to reach out directly to you, the Nintendo community, because there’s one thing I really want to say: thank you. Thank you for your never-ending support, and for your passionate love of Nintendo. And personally, for giving me a Mushroom Kingdom full of incredible memories that I will never forget, ever.

From the first time I saw the nickname ‘Regginator,’ I realized that Nintendo fans share a unique sense of community, a bond that goes beyond just a love of video games. For these past 15 years, I’ve been honored to be included as part of your family.

Check out the video below for the complete message released on the official Twitter account of Nintendo of America.

15 years is a very long time and Fils-Aime has been part of Nintendo since 2003 which was GameCube era. He is a very big name in video game industry in North America and probably this is exactly the reason why all major industry figures and many big YouTubers also sent their farewell messages to him.

Some of the best Nintendo consoles were released under him which include DS, Wii, 3DS and even Nintendo Switch. We will not include Wii U here because despite it being a unique console in the market, it somehow failed to get as much traction as other Nintendo consoles that were released under Fils-Aime.

We wish him all the best for his future ventures and will surely miss seeing his face representing Nintendo of America in the future.
