Developer BeardedBrothers.Games has announced the relaunch of their garage sim, Underground Garage, with massive changes. Underground Garage offers a blend of workshop sim and street racing. The new release comes packing a huge update with an estimated 1,500 changes across the board, and it is available now. The new update brings new vehicles, engines, missions, racing, map changes, and everything in between. To celebrate the relaunch, the developer is also offering a sale discount as a Steam Daily Deal.
The update brings two new V10 engines along with a Boxer-style H6 engine. There is a new, reworked backend system for cars and engines in place now, which is more modding-friendly. You will find additional new rims and tire sizes with an updated labelling system. As you work on your cars, you will find three new workstations to smooth your workflow, including an ECU hacking station, battery charging, and tire mounting and dismounting. Check out the new Official Trailer for Underground Garage below:
The new update also makes some changes to the street racing aspect of the title. The map has received a major overhaul with the new Golden Sands District coming alive with the hidden life of illegal races. It offers wide, three-lane boulevards or asphalt where you can race and test your vehicles. The game now offers around 29 tracks which 9 are brand-new and offer AI opponents during the race.
You can also raid junkyards for old parts and cars. For old cars, you can work on their engines and tweak their performance with enhanced parts. To give them a fresh life, you have the option to give them a fresh paint job, and once you are satisfied with them, take them out in the open world to challenge other racers. The game also offers a narrative where gang involvement results in the garage owner’s disappearance, and now you must work towards building up the garage and solving the mystery. Story progression gives you access to new parts, which result in better performance tuning of your vehicles.
Olaf Sobczyński, CTO and Producer at BeardedBrothers.Games commented:
