Sony Japan has released two free PS4 themes on its PSN Store. Both Sword Art Online and Ace Combat 7 themes are free for all Japanese PSN account holders however with a little trick you can get them for any region account.
The Ace Combat 7 theme is out in celebration of the latest title coming out by Bandai Namco while the Sword Art Online theme is celebrating the franchise’s fifth anniversary. Both of these themes are available to all PSN Japan accounts free of charge however players will be required to add them to their account.
Since these themes are Japanese PSN exclusive, it does not mean that other players worldwide cannot get them. There is a little trick by which you can get both of these themes. You can simply create a PSN ID with Japan as the country and then sign in on your PS4 with this ID. Make sure that you make the PS4 primary with this ID.
After it is done, head to these links for Ace Combat 7 theme and Sword Art Online theme. Add them both to your account and boot up your PS4 if not already. Download both themes to your PS4 using either the website store or the PSN itself from the console and you will be able to use both themes with any PSN account on the PS4.
Make sure that set the PS4 to primary when you sign in with your Japanese ID otherwise you will not be able to use the themes with your main account. With this simple trick, you can get both these amazing themes for you console. Make sure to add them both to your account if you like both these amazing franchises.
