If you get a free steam copy of the game, you should know the minimum and recommended PC requirements for Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Minimum requirements:

  • OS: Windows 7 64 bit
  • Processor: i3-3220 INTEL or AMD Equilevant
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: i3-3220 INTEL or AMD Equivalent
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 40 GB available space

The minimum requirements are pretty decent. The mentioned specifications hint that you will not need a graphics card to run the game or low settings. However, you will need a third generation Intel or AMD processor to provide enough juice for Shadow of The Tomb Raider to run on PC.

Recommended settings:

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i7 4770K, 3.40 Ghz or AMD Ryzen 5 1600, 3.20 Ghz
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon RX 480, 8GB
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 40 GB available space

The Recommended hardware requirements lists GTX 1060 6GB graphics card which is powerful enough to run Shadow of The Tomb Raider at 1080p 30fps. However, you will need more beefier graphics card to run the game on 1080p 60fps. This is because we know that PC versions of the previous two Tomb Raider games took too much of VRAM. The previous two games not only consumed too much of VRAM, they also gave a fantastic graphics output. So it is safe to assume we will need at least a GTX 1070 or above for 1080p 60fps gameplay.
