Mortal Shell was released back in August 2020 and enjoyed a surprisingly good reception by both players and the press. Now, the developer Cold Symmetry has released the very first content update, Rotten Autumn, for Mortal Shell and it brings many exciting new features to the game. Players jumping back in the game will find a new mini-quest along with ten new Shell shades to discover as well as a new soundtrack and a photo editor.
Cold Symmetry has also announced that in anticipation of the new update, the game is now 20% off for a limited time on Epic Games Store and PSN while the Xbox One store discount will go live on October 27, 2020. Coming back to the update, the Rotten Autumn update centers around Gorf who is a huge verbose amphibian with enigmatic dialogue and mysterious intentions. After downloading the update, players can visit Gorf to start a new mini-quest.
Satisfying Gorf will allow players to get ten new Shell shades. These range from Solomon’s Dracula-inspired war-paint to Eredrim’s regal yellow trim. Each of the new skins will allow you to demonstrate your combat mastery in a style that suits you. A brand new photo editor is also now part of the game as part of the new update. It can be accessed from the pause menu and will allow players to access a suite of powerful photo editing tools to create some amazing snapshots.
