The free update was released just a few hours ago where Geralt will be featured in the game to hunt down a Leshen, who is one of the foes from The Witcher 3. Take a look at the trailer below:

The quest was collaborated and developed closely by Capcom with CD Projeckt Red, which is the developer of The Witcher series of games. In addition, the original voice actor of Geralt will provide new voice over for the collaboration.

Produced of Monster Hunter World Ryozo Tsujimoto talked about the event by saying,

The quest for this collaboration is really unique because it mixes Monster Hunter: World gameplay along with the RPG elements of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to create a really fresh experience we think is going to appeal to fans of both series.

You’ll see that coming early in 2019. We couldn’t have done it, of course, without the close collaboration of CD Projekt Red. We’re still working with them right now on the content and I think you’re really going to enjoy it.

The content launches in celebration of the first anniversary of Monster Hunter: World’s release. The event celebrating the anniversary is called Appreciation Fest, where it will continue to run on all platforms until 21 February. It also brings back many of the game’s previous Events Quest with some newer ones.
