Aparrently, Mass Effect Trilogy is getting an HD remaster according to rumors going around that it will be releasing sometime in April of the next year 2021. This comes after Electronic Arts announced that the company intends to release 14 new games during the next fiscal year, and one of them will be an HD remaster.

Following the announcement, new reports starting popping up that the HD remaster will be the for the original Mass Effect games, and that it will feature the trilogy of the first three games in the series.

The information was picked up by Jeff Grubb over at GamesBeat, saying that the HD remaster is indeed going to be the Mass Effect Trilogy.

Mass Effect is one of the most popular titles by BioWare, especially with the first three games that the community love and holds dearly. The latest game in the series, Mass Effect: Andromeda, was a step away from the main story of the game, and was not as well-received as many thought it would pre-launch. The game was filled with bugs, technical glitches, and weird facial animations.

A remaster of the original games would have always been on the cards, considering that remasters are doing really well recently. We have seen Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 remakes recently that have done pretty well among fans. Not to forget Final Fantasy 7 Remake which was recently released back in March on the PlayStation 4.

EA has still to confirm what it intends with the Mass Effect series or if they are indeed working on an HD remake of the trilogy. In addition, we also don’t know what the other games out of the 14 which the company has mentioned for the next fiscal year. We might have to wait for more information over the next few months to get any more hints.
