Square Enix’s upcoming Marvel’s Avengers game details have been leaked ahead of E3. While very little is known about the game, the publisher will be hosting a press conference that would reveal a lot of information. However, the details have already been leaked via the E3 Coliseum website.
The information on the website has been removed, but it was up for long enough to be spotted and shared online like fire. The biggest reveal from the leak is that the game will feature both solo and co-op play among other intriguing things.
According to PC Gamer, the description of the E3 unveiling the game said,
Embrace your powers and join key members of the development team at Crystal Dynamics and the creative team at Marvel Games as they talk exclusively about the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers.
This is the defining Avengers gaming experience: an epic action-adventure that combines cinematic storytelling with continuous single-player and co-operative gameplay. Assemble in teams up to four players, master extraordinary abilities, customise your heroes to fit your playstyle, and combine powers to defend an ever-expanding world under constant threat.
The game description has now been changed, and now reads, “Join Crystal Dynamics and Marvel Games for a Panel about Marvel’s The Avengers.”
The game was first announced with a teaser trailer back in January of 2017. With more information planned for next month’s E3 2019 event, we will get more details and might possibly get a release date as well. Other than that, very little is known about the game. WE do know that the game is being developed by Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal.
When the teaser was shown back in 2017, we could see the damaged gear that included Thor’s hammer, Captain America’s Shield and Iron Man’s hand with the tagline “reassemble.” It also had the following description with it,
The Avengers project is being designed for gamers worldwide and will be packed with all the characters, environments and iconic moments that have thrilled longtime fans of the franchise,” a Square Enix press release said at the time. “Featuring a completely original story, it will introduce a universe gamers can play in for years to come.
