Voiced by Takehito Koyasu, Shingo Yabuki will join The King of Fighters XV on the same date as well. The official press release details his past as:

Shingo is a young man who became empassioned by Kyo Kusanagi’s strength and all but forced him to become his martial arts master. For Kyo, however, he looks at Shingo as his passive assistant, and treats him as such. Recently, Shingo has been gaining Kyo’s approval and seems to be making steady progress as a fighter, albeit little by little. His adoscelent approach to life gives him a personality liked by many.

Apart from Shingo, KOV XV will be getting additional DLC characters as well in 2023 such as Kim Kaphwan who will join the game in the spring and Sylvie Paula Paula, Najd and two unannounced characters will join the roster later in the summer of 2023. A special Fighter Pass will also be released which will include all six DLC characters for Season 2 including Shingo Yabuki. The new season is also bringing an update to refine all the characters in the roster. Fans will be glad to hear that 15 staff roll songs from previous mainline KOF titles are also coming to KOF XV for free.

Additional songs are also planned for the future, and they will all be available to listen to on the KOF XV’s DJ STATION. SNK also confirmed that KOF XV will be part of this year’s EVO JAPAN 2023 as well and it will be one of the main titles of the tournament. Last year at EVO 2022, KOF XV had its own booth as well. SNK is also celebrating The King of Fighters franchise with The Ultimate Book History.
