Publisher Kalypso Media showcased two brand-new titles during Gamescom 2022 including Railway Empire 2 and Dungeons 4. Both titles are sequels to their respective titles, and both are being developed by Kalypso’s in-house development studios. Both titles were not only announced during Gamescom 2022, but people also got to experience them with exclusive hands-on during the event.

Railway Empire 2 is the highly anticipated successor to the award-winning Railway Empire and is currently under development by Gaming Minds Studios. It is slated for a 2023 release, and it will allow players to experience the railway management simulator better than ever before. You will start by taking over a small train company during the 19th century in Europe or North America and from there you grow into the greatest railway corporation in the world.
The game will feature huge, realistic maps, 60 detailed historic steam engines, and improved track construction with real-time terraforming. The game will cater to people looking forward to relaxed model-making or an intricate transport system alike with its options that appear to calm conductors and savvy business owners alike. Railway Empire 2 will release in 2023 on Xbox Game Pass on console and PC along with standalone on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch.

Kalypso Media also showcased the much-awaited Dungeons 4 with a new trailer which is under development currently at Realforge Studios. Dungeons 4 is also slated for a 2023 release and the game will see the Absolute Evil return to the franchise once again. Thalya the dark elf sorcerer returns to the franchise as well as featured in the trailer. The new title will feature a larger number of creatures to control and even larger dungeons.
The campaign will feature 20 missions that are fully narrated playable solo and in two-player co-op multiplayer to double the destruction. The new title in the dungeon management sim is launching in 2023 on Xbox Game Pass for console and PC and will also release standalone on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, and PS5.
