Ten years after Job Simulator turned mundane workplace tasks into a virtual comedy playground, the franchise is returning with a new multiplayer-focused experience. Job Simulator: Human Relations has been unveiled by FarBridge as a flat-screen co-op physics comedy game developed in collaboration with Job Simulator owner Owlchemy Labs, with a Kickstarter campaign now seeking $150,000 to support development.
Unlike the original VR-focused game, Human Relations is designed for up to four players on PC. The premise returns players to the Museum of Human Employment in 2050, after human employment has supposedly been eliminated. The museum’s robot curators attempt to recreate office life using information gathered from social media posts, corporate training videos, and productivity personalities, resulting in a deliberately inaccurate version of the workplace.
Job Simulator: Human Relations Brings Four-Player Office Chaos to PC
The core gameplay revolves around a simple cycle: do the job, manage the chaos, and hit the required goal. Players will handle familiar office duties such as fetching coffee, processing paperwork, refilling printers, and delivering packages, but routine work is regularly disrupted by mandatory meetings, management demands, and larger disasters including fires, floods, and earthquakes.
The multiplayer structure is central to the experience. Up to four players will work together while competing for limited resources and attempting to keep the office running as problems pile up. Missing a quota carries the shortfall into the following day, while meeting targets allows employees to earn promotions, new abilities and customizations, along with increasingly questionable management responsibilities.
The game is being developed by FarBridge, which previously worked with Owlchemy Labs on Dimensional Double Shift. The two studios are continuing that collaboration with Human Relations, with the project aiming to retain the playful humor associated with the franchise while adapting its workplace comedy to a larger multiplayer format.
FarBridge has launched a Kickstarter campaign with a $150,000 funding goal. The campaign also emphasizes community involvement, with backers offered access to private playtests, development updates, and Discord communities, while some reward tiers provide opportunities to contribute designs to the game. Stretch goals include additional disasters, jobs, and customization options.
Kickstarter rewards begin at $25, although the New Hire tier is discounted to $20 during the campaign’s first 24 hours. The game can also be wishlisted on Steam, while further details about its release timing were not provided in the announcement.
