Interference: Dead Air will release on PC via Steam on February 2, 2023, and it will allow you to live your life as a security guard working the night shift at The Barclay Institute. In Interference: Dead Air, your day starts just like normal but ultimately, it turns for the worse and you have to work your way through it. Check out the new release date trailer for Interference: Dead Air below before we jump into additional details:

Interference: Dead Air is a narrative-driven science fiction thriller set inside a small security booth at a mysterious institute in the middle of the desert. You step in the shoes of a security guard whose duty is to keep an eye on things inside and outside of The Barclay Institute. However, the building is suddenly overrun by enemies, and you will have to make some difficult decisions to save the scientists inside or if you prefer, you can just turn off your radio and goof off.

The gameplay of Interference: Dead Air will include juggling various tasks to keep yourself entertained such as radio conversations with friends inside the institute, tracking dangers on your map board, and rerouting power inside the facility. If the stress of the work becomes too much for you to handle, you can also do some silly tasks such as listening to the 80s synth jams on the FM radio. The game features a branching narrative so the choices that you make will ultimately shape the story and you will unlock a different ending every time based on your choices.

Key features of Interference: Dead Air include:

  • Actions Matter: Every decision the player makes (or doesn’t make) is valid. Wanna be an asshole? Sure. A pushover? Go for it! Or you can just leave. We won’t stop you.
  • Multitask: Monitor your radio, computer, and map to lead your friend to safety. You’d just better hope the power doesn’t go out.
  • Tune Out: Your booth is outfitted with all sorts of distractions. Shoot a few hoops or unwind with a relaxing word search puzzle. We know you have a lot on your plate managing a massive security breach and keeping your best friend alive, but you do you.
  • Atmospheric Setting: The desert is spooky, mysterious, and kinda lonely… the perfect place to contemplate your worldly insignificance!
  • Original Soundtrack: The 80s called, they want their synthesizers back.
  • Replayability: A branching narrative adventure that plays out in real time, with no two playthroughs exactly alike.
