The indie development team Ascendant Studios along with the publisher EA Originals have announced that the Immortals of Aveum release date has been delayed. The new release date of Immortals of Aveum is now set for August 22, 2023, when the game will release on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and EA App, along with Xbox Series X|S and PS5. The announcement was made on the official blog of Immortals of Aveum on the developer’s website. Seeing new trailers back-to-back in the previous weeks, fans were really looking forward to Immortals of Aveum however now they will need to wait a little longer to jump into the game.
The developer details on the official blog post that the delay comes after the recent fan feedback and seeing how the game is generating a lot of hype, the developers want some more time in polishing, finishing optimizing all platforms, and delivering a much stronger launch. For this very reason, the release date of Immortal of Aveum is now set for August 2023. This shows that we can expect a much more stable release and after seeing some really hyped-up titles releasing in bad playable states, I can only see that this will ultimately work for the betterment of both the developer and the game.
Pushing a title further is always a sign that the game still needs more work, and the developer did not just delay the game for fun. Putting in the last minute work into a game is always beneficial especially if you are you are an indie studio who cannot afford a buggy game launch. In recent times, we have seen even AAA studios struggling with buggy launches that end up shutting down a franchise and more, so it is always good to delay a game and release it when the studio is really confident about it.
Immortals of Aveum is a unique FPS shooter-like game where you will shoot magic at your enemies instead of bullets. You step into the game As Jak who is an Immortal and is able to use all three colors of magic as he fights to save the realms. Jak needs to uncover the mysteries of Aveum as he joins Everwar, fighting for the control of magic itself. It is looking really promising from the trailers and some of the recent gameplay trailers feature fluid, fast-paced magic combat that looks satisfying and magic plays a vital role in both offense and defense.
