Hitman 3 Most Sold Physical Title in UK Last Week

Hitman 3 is the latest title in the Hitman franchise and was released last week by IO Interactive for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC. Hitman 3 had a strong launch week, where the game climbed to the top of UK physical sales for the past week, beating many notable titles sitting on the list for the past few weeks. The highest units sold were reported for the PS5 console, with Xbox sales lagging behind significantly.

As reported by GamesIndustry.biz, a total of 49% of the game’s sales were on PS5, with 27% on Xbox and 25% on PS4. It is important to note here that these figures are for the physical units sold in the UK only, and digital numbers will be greater and different as well. Hitman 3 beat Animal Crossing: New Horizons to claim the No. 1 spot; however, the difference between the two titles is just 800 units sold. Animal Crossing: New Horizons still managed to secure the second spot behind Hitman 3 despite being released in 2020.

Other titles in the list include Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, securing the third spot in the list, followed by Spider-Man: Miles Morales, securing the 4th spot, and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War sitting at the fifth spot. GTA V dropped from last week’s fourth spot to the sixth spot for this week, followed by Ring Fit Adventure at the 7th spot. The final three spots were occupied by Just Dance 2021 at the eighth spot, which was third last week, Minecraft for Nintendo Switch at the ninth spot, and FIFA 21 at the tenth spot.
