Publisher HeroCraft PC and developer DEADMAP have announced its brand-new side-scrolling brutal action game called Heart Abyss at the Guerilla Collective Showcase 2023. Heart Abyss is a brutal action game that features hardcore violence and high-tense encounters set in a peaceful and relaxing environment inspired by feudal Japan. Check out the reveal trailer of the game below before we jump into additional details:
The trailer gives us a little bit of everything including story bits, brutal melee combat, and different enemies that we will be fighting in the game. The main character of the game seems to be wearing a fox suit and he may have shown his snake to one of the guards according to one of the notes shown in the trailer. The gameplay is really fast-paced and combo-based as the main protagonist is seen taking down multiple enemies in quick succession and even deflecting incoming weapon attacks and arrows. There is also plenty of blood in the game as we can see some really brutal kills.
Key features of Heart Abyss include:
- Tactical and frantic combat – block and deflect, strategically position yourself, inflict devastating combos, and use an arsenal of primary and disposable weapons.
- Two playable heroes – each with their own bloody story, attitude, and unique gameplay features.
- A freedom of improvisation – go low or go high, use alternate entering points and detours, and decide which foe to take out first.
