AMD Versus Nvidia Performance, Comparison in terms of percentage

AMD has worked closely with developers of Forza Horizon 4 so we can safely assume why AMD graphic cards give better frames per second than Nvidia Cards. Though, the top-tier graphic cards of both brands perform fascinatingly well on 1080p and 4K resolution.

AMD’s RX Vega 64 performs 12-20% better than its counter-part Nvidia GTX 1080. The RX Vega 56 also performs better than GTX 1070, 13-22% to be exact. However, the gap is thin when you compare RX Vega 56 with GTX 1070Ti. GTX 1070 Ti gives 2-12% less frames per second as compared to RX Vega 56.

These are the top tier graphic cards performance differences. Now, if you come down to mid-range graphic cards, AMD RX 580 8GB performs 12-16% better than a GTX 1060 GB model. While, RX 570 takes a huge lead of 58% performance jump when compared with GTX 1050Ti.

AMD Versus Nvidia Performance, Comparison on 1080p Resolution

The hardware used while running the benchmark of Forza Horizon 4 was a Intel Core i7-7700K with 4Ghz clock frequency. The system used latest AMD as well as Nvidia graphic drivers with 16GB RAM.

Moving on, on 1080p resolution with high preset video settings, AMD VEGA 64 gave 155 fps with air cooling and 162 fps on liquid cooling system. While GTX 1080 gave only 141 fps.

When switched to 1080p resolution ultra preset video settings, AMD RX VEGA 64 gave 125 fps while GTX 1080 gave 111 fps.

AMD Versus Nvidia Performance, Comparison on 4K Resolution

When the video settings were scaled up to 4K on ultra preset settings, AMD RX Vega 64 ran at 85 fps while GTX 1080 gave 72 fps. Noticeably, both the graphic cards give solid performance and game runs above 60 fps on ultra preset settings.

Nvidia graphic cards are easily available in market or at retail stores while AMD RX Vega supplies are soar. It is very difficult to find a RX Vega graphic cards, AMD since start have kept the supplies limited and whenever a stock comes in, it gets sold out within matter of days.
