For Honor Getting a New Character Gryphon Next Week

For Honor Gryphon

Ubisoft has announced that For Honor is getting a brand new Hero Gryphon next week on December 10, 2020. Gryphon arrives with the launch of Year 4 Season 4 of the game. Gryphon will follow the release of Warmonger and will be the second hero to be released for For Honor’s Year 4. With the release of Gryphon, the total roster of For Honor will increase to 28 across four different factions.

The official press release describes Gryphon as:

Previously known as Holden Cross, Gryphon was a great warrior in the Order of the Lawbringers who fought side-by-side with Apollyon in the Blackstone Legion. After her death, he was rejected by his fellow Lawbringers, prompting him to join a mercenary guild and embark on a journey across the world, making friendships in all factions and learning new fighting techniques.  Now equipped with a sturdy polearm named Bardiche, the Knight Errant Gryphon is here to lead the resistance to victory against the Order of Horkos.

Players will be able to purchase Gryphon on December 10, 2020, from first-party stores for $7.99 as part of the package that includes the new Hero, one exclusive Ornament, one Elite Outfit, three crates, and seven days of Champion Status. After this, Gryphon will also become available to be purchased in-game for 15,000 Steel. It will include all the items in the package as well.

For Honor was released back in 2017 and it is an action video game for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. You are able to play as three factions in the game including Vikings, Samurais, and Knights along with a fourth DLC faction Wu Lin. Each of these factions come with their own further classes that allow players to choose a character that fits their gameplay style. The game is played in multiple online gameplay modes such as Dominion, Brawl, Skirmish, Breach, and many others.
