Developer N-Racing and publisher Bigben Interactive are releasing their brand new racing game FIA European Truck Racing Championship this month. This is one of the most unique FIA sanctioned racing events because unlike other events where you race on tracks using lightweight speed demons, here you will strap yourself in 5-tonnes of metal and tires and take them on some of the most hardcore racing circuits from around the globe.
FIA European Truck Racing Championship has been the most ignored racing disciplines when it comes to racing games. We got some truck racing games earlier but to be honest, they were just pathetic however with the new game, it looks like N-Racing has done a great job on the game and since the game is nearing its release date, we got to see some more gameplay footage of the game and it looks absolutely amazing.
Personally, I have always loved the FIA European Truck Racing and I can say that it is a racing discipline that very few people follow and understand when you go to automotive parties and meetups. Although it has been around since 1985, it has seen growth over the years the trucks have certainly improved in performance as well looks. The game seems to have only the modern trucks in it however we cannot expect them to put in all the trucks from the classic era of the discipline at this point.
It might be a little slow for normal racing game players but managing to drive a 5-tonnes truck at a circuit which is made for F1 and GT Cup cars is a pretty handful job. It requires more braking distance and certainly does not accelerate fast enough for those corner overtakes so you will be required to manage them more effectively here to make sure that you stay on the track, get the best racing line and ensure that you are staying at the front of the pack.
The game will also come with a variety of online modes as well as offline modes. The game will feature its FIA mode where you will be able to start from the bottom and race your way to the top to become the FIA champion. Since it is the official FIA game, it brings with it the 2019 season with it and also the new track additions of the season which include Hungaroring and Nurburgring. These tracks are nothing where you will go in a 5-tonne truck on a racing weekend.
FIA European Truck Racing Championship is slated for release on Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch.
