Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Delayed

Ubisoft recently held its Ubisoft Forward September 2020 stream and we got to see plenty of new reveals and updates about its upcoming releases. Fall 2020 is a promising time for gaming and Ubisoft seems to have a solid lineup of titles for this phase. During the event, Ubisoft not only shared new details about the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion but also revealed some brand new titles like a remake of the classic Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.

Below, we have listed all of the new updates, announcements, reveals and information revealed by Ubisoft during its Ubisoft Forward September 2020 event.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time – Remake

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is getting a Remake and will release on January 21, 2021. The game will cost $39.99 and will release on PS4, Xbox One, Epic Games Store, and Ubisoft Store on PC. The Remake is being made by Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai. It will be a full-scale remake of the original game with a fresh approach to combat, puzzle-solving, and rewinding time.

The game will include a new camera system and fully remade sequences. Fans would be glad to know that the Remake will also include the classic 1989 title which will be unlocked during the Prince’s journey. All pre-orders of the game will include:

The Original Prince outfit from the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
The Prince’s Original Weapons set
A Classic Filter that changes the look & feel of the game on the screen, just like if players were playing the game back in time

Immortals Fenyx Rising

Ubisoft also revealed Immortals Fenyx Rising which was previously known as Gods and Monsters. The game will release worldwide on December 3, 2020, on Stadia, Xbox Series consoles, Nintendo Switch, Epic Games Launched, and PS4. The game will also release on PS5 when the console comes out. Apart from this, the game will also release on Ubisoft’s premium subscription service Uplay+.

Immortals Fenyx Rising follows the story of Fenyx, a new winged demigod, who is on a quest to save the Greek gods and their home from a dark curse. Players will need to master the legendary powers of the gods to overcome heroic trials and confronting powerful mythological beasts. The final goal for Fenyx is to take on Typhon, the deadliest Titan in Greek mythology and everything that comes in Fenyx’s way will help him get ready for the final battle.

Watch Dogs: Legion

Ubisoft’s latest title in the Watch Dogs franchise, Watch Dogs: Legion is all set to release later on October 29, 2020, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game will also release on Xbox Series consoles and PS5 later when they come out. Players on Stadia and Uplay+ will be able to play the game as part of their membership as well.

Ubisoft released three new trailers for Watch Dogs: Legion during the Ubisoft Forwarded featuring an exclusive collaboration with award-winning British musician Stormzy, the return of an old friend, Aiden Pearce, who is playable as part of post-launch plans, and a new gameplay trailer diving into the Play-As-Anyone experience.

Players will get to play a unique mission to help the inspiring British musician, Stormzy. In the mission, Fall on My Enemies, Stormzy will ask players to help him secure the broadcast for his ‘Heavy Is The Head’ album track ‘Rainfall’ featuring Major9 in Central London. The new music video was also featured in today’s Ubisoft Forward livestream and will release worldwide on October 1, 2020. It has been fully created using the Watch Dog’s Legion engine.

We are thrilled for Stormzy to be a part of Watch Dogs: Legion. His music and what he speaks to as an artist is extremely relevant for our London setting, and for the larger themes of our game. It’s been almost a year since we had Stormy in the studio to film his performance. He lit up the room, and captivated us all. He’s a great collaborator, and it was a career highlight for us to get to work with him.

Aiden Pierce will also be back in Watch Dogs: Legion as post-launch content and will be a fully playable character in the game. He will have his own dedicated story arc. Players can get the Season Pass for the game as part of the Gold, Ultimate, and Collector’s Editions of the game. The season pass will give players access to new story missions delivered in two narrative arcs, extra DedSec mission, four unique heroes including Aiden Pearce, and the Complete Edition of the original Watch Dogs game from 2014.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Updates

Ubisoft announced the first-ever Rainbow Six World Cup event to enjoy eSports on Rainbow Six Siege. The Rainbow Six Siege World Cup will take place in the Summer of 2021 and for the first time ever, Rainbow Six Seige history, players from 45 countries and regions, including MENA will compete at the highest level to win the very first Rainbow Six World Cup Trophy.

François-Xavier Dénièle, Esports Director at Ubisoft said:

We noticed during our events that both professional players and fans showcased their national pride and enthusiasm. As we saw all the different flags in the audience and international rivalries emerge, we began nurturing the idea of creating such a competition. The idea evolved into the World Cup we are announcing today. We believe that the World Cup will be a great opportunity to celebrate the Rainbow Six Siege community, both local and worldwide, while also providing new stakes and challenges for professional players.

Ubisoft has partnered up with international athlete Tony Parker to take on the role of the ambassador for the Rainbow Six World Cup. He will share his 20-year experience with the players involved in the competition. Tony has 4 NBA titles, more than 180 selections in the national team, and a true passion for eSports and gaming. He said:

In the Rainbow Six World Cup players will compete alongside new teammates and new coaches from their home countries; players that might be their rivals otherwise. They will experience something new, and I am excited to share my experience and accompany them in that adventure as part of my role as an ambassador. I have been involved in esports for the past six to seven years now, and when Ubisoft first came to me with this project, I was convinced they wanted to create something special. It will be a first for the game and I wanted to be part of it.

The Rainbow Six World Cup will involve 45 countries and regions throughout 2 stages. The Qualifier is set for the first half of 2021 and the Final Stage will take place during the Summer of 2021. 14 countries and regions will get direct access to the Final Stage and 31 other countries will take part in online qualifiers to complete for one of the 6 remaining slots. For the Final Stage, 20 teams will be able to compete in the grand finale. The two-step process is detailed below:

Starting September 14, each of the 45 participating countries and regions will start selecting their National Committees, composed of 3 team managers.
Later this fall, each National Committee will select the 5 players who will compete in the team.

Ubisoft also announced that Rainbow Six Siege is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series consoles in 4K and 120FPS with render scaling. The game will release at the same price as that of current-gen consoles while the current-gen owners will get the game upgraded to their next-gen versions for free. All of their progression and in-game content will also carry on to the next-generation will players able to play with each other regardless of their platform with cross-generation support.

The latest Operation Shadow Legacy, the third season of Rainbow Six Seige, Year 5 is also now available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Operation Shadow Legacy brings Sam Fisher as a playable agent to the game along with the following new game updates:

Hyper Scape

Ubisoft also released a brand new trailer for Hyper Scape showcasing the new LTM Turbo Mode. In the new Turbo Mode, players will need to eliminate all other squads or capture the Crown to win. All of the gear is at the maximum fusion level and health regenerates faster.

Riders Republic

Riders Republic is a brand new title by Ubisoft that is a massive multiplayer outdoor sports playground. The game is set to release on February 25, 2021, on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series consoles, and Xbox One consoles along with Stadia and PC. The current-gen purchases of Riders Republic will upgrade for next-gen versions for free.

The game features an exhilarating social playground where they can experience the thrill of extreme sports in an open and densely populated world. Players can connect, compete and slay stricks through an exciting range of sports such as biking, skiing, snowboarding, wing suiting, and rocket wing suiting. The game will feature a diverse amount of areas ranging from arid canyons to snowy mountains. It will feature the following multiplayer modes:

Competitive Races and Trick Challenges: Playable in PvP and solo, players will feel the rush during these races and challenges.
Mass Starts: Nothing is off-limits in these frantic races with more than 50 players***. Players will need to watch their blind spots and protect their position as they collide, grind and fight their way to the finish line.
Multiplayer Arenas: Dominate maps in 6v6 PvP matchups.
Online Cups: Made for the very best riders to show off and show out, ultimately making it to the top of the leaderboard.

Riders Republic offers fun and light-hearted competition and allows us to push the boundaries with this genre. The game will feature a Career mode where riders can make a name for themselves in a variety of sports and rise to the top of the leaderboards and sign with legendary sponsors. Pre-orders are now open for the game and come with the following versions:

Gold Edition includes the base game and the Year 1 Pass*****, including exotic kits that allow players to modify gameplay in the form of gear upgrades throughout the year, the BMX Sport add-on, plus, exclusive content added after launch.
Ultimate Edition Ultimate Edition includes the Year 1 Pass and four exclusive cosmetic packs: Cosmic, Rainbow, Neon and Skull’n Style. Players will also enjoy 20 Helicopter tickets to reach their favorite summits faster than ever.

Players who pre-order Riders Republic will receive the Bunny Pack, including a custom cute bunny outfit, an additional blue bunny head, and rainbow snowboard paint.

Roller Champions

The developers of Roller Champions also shared a community update for Roller Champions during the presentation.

Scott Pilgrim Versus The World: The Game – Complete Edition

Ubisoft also announced a re-release of Scott Pilgrim Versus The World: The Game – Complete Edition in celebration of its 10-year anniversary. The game will include its Knives Chau and Wallace Wells DLC and will release during Holiday 2020 for $14.99 on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Stadia, and Nintendo Switch along with Uplay+.

Just Dance 2021

Ubisoft also announced the next batch of songs that will be featured in the upcoming Just Dance 2021. The new songs include:

AGOS: A Game of Space

Ubisoft also announced a brand new VR title AGOS: A Game of Space. AGOS is a space exploration adventure built for virtual reality and will release on October 28, 2020, on Oculus Rift, HTC VIVE, and VIVE Cosmos series headsets along with Valve Index and Windows Mixed Reality.

AGOS: A Game of Space will take players on an interstellar journey to reach a new habitable planet where they become the AI operating the last ship to leave a condemned Earth. They must guide a group of survivors across eight unique stellar systems to find this new home and settle down. Players will build and pilot their space probes in order to upgrade their world-ship.

The Division 2 Update, Summit Mode

The Division 2: Warlords of New York players will get a new game mode The Summit. It is part of the new Title Update 11 which is slated to go live on September 22, 2020. As part of the TU 11, Season 3 will begin a new manhunt and major improvements to the game’s core features.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint

Ubisoft also detailed the new Title Update 3.0.0 for Ghost Recon Breakpoint releasing on September 15, 2020, for all platforms. The game will add a new adventure Red Patriot to the game along with a new class Pathfinder and new PvP maps. A live event will also be available for later during this new update.

For Honor

For Honor Year 4 Season 3 was also revealed during the livestream. The Year 4 Season 4 dubbed Resistance will release on September 17, 2020, for all platforms and it will spark a Rebellion to bring back hope.
