Fourth Season of eSports WRC Powered by Hyundai is Starting Today

Bigben and Kylotonn have announced that the fourth season of their eSports WRC Powered by Hyundai is starting today, January 24, 2019. The event will kick off at the Monte Carlo Rally which is the first round of the 2019 FIA World Rally Championship.

The eSports event takes place worldwide where only last year, more than 6000 players locked their horns in WRC 7 and battled for victory for the grand prize, a brand new Hyundai i20. This year, Hyundai returns as the official sponsor of the eSports event.

Hyundai is bringing the same prize back from the last year. The winner of the fourth season of eSports WRC Powered by Hyundai will take home a brand new Hyundai i20 which is worth €20,000.

If you do not know what eSports WRC Powered by Hyundai is then you should know that it is a competition open to all players of WRC 7 who own the game on PS4, Xbox One or PC. They can jump in the competition just by owning the game.

Points are awarded to players in 12 online rounds which take place between January and August. Top 8 players are then selected for a live grand finale. Apart from solo, Team Championships will also take place where each team comprising of five players will battle simultaneously in individual championships to become the Teams World Champion.

In Team Championships, the points scored by 3 best drivers are added to the point pool of the team. Players can take part either solo or teams. Teams will be pre-selected. Most of the teams in the championship will be known throughout the world of eSports racing games.

Another returning sponsor from last year is Thrustmaster which will ensure that players get the most immersive and realistic equipment for the finale. They will also participate in the event with arranging special events in which fans will also be able to participate in the eSports event.
