Developer Hyperkinetic Studios and publisher Epic Tavern Holdings have announced the release of the final early access update of Epic Tavern before its full release. Epic Tavern is a tavern management sim, and it is currently available on PC via Steam Early Access. Ahead of its full release, the developers have released the final update which brings the last bit of new content and fixes to the game before its full 1.0 launch.
Check out the latest trailer for Epic Tavern below before we jump into additional details:
The final update for the game is called Critical Decision and it brings new features, and many quality-of-life improvements to the early access version. With the new update in place, Tavernmasters now have improved tools to manage your heroes’ energy, mood, and other stats through the overhauled spirit system. If you cast spells and suffer demoralizing defeats, it will deplete Spirit. The midday Rest stages will allow you to replenish your Spirit or pursue a new side quest, each with 10 possible outcomes.
While you are out on daring exploits, you can further control your adventures with the new Critical Decision feature. With this feature, you can choose actions based on your unique arty composition and discover unorthodox solutions to challenges. You will notice that different stages will now adapt to your roster and offer class-specific Critical Choice options. The previous update released for the game was the Fantastical Crimes Unit and it introduced players to the criminal undermaket.
Epic Tavern has actually spent a lot of time in its Early Access phase on Steam as it was released back in September 2017. Since then, the developers have been working on the title and trying to find the right direction for its development. It actually started its life as a Kickstarter project and after many years of development, we are now finally reaching the point where the developers are now aiming for its full release. We still have a fixed release date for Epic Taverns however as the developer has announced the release of the final Early Access update, we can expect it to launch soon now.
If you are interested in Epic Tavern, you can check it out on Steam and get involved with it right away if Early Access is your thing. If you want to wait for the full release to try it out, you can simply consider adding it to your wishlist.
