Ed Boon is the man behind Mortal Kombat and Injustice franchise and he mentioned in an interview recently that he would like to make a Marvel Vs DC fighting game. We have seen Ed Boon in nearly all NetherRealm Studio presentation and we know that Ed Boon loves fighting games. It is no wonder that his passion has us given two of the best fighting franchises ever made which include Mortal Kombat and Injustice: Gods Among Us
Ed Boon was speaking with Game Informer where he was asked some questions about Mortal Kombat 11. During this very interview, he was asked whether he has ever contacted Marvel about making a game with them and Boon replied that he has indeed, however, he should not talk about it. With a little bit of pushing, Boon also revealed that he would love to make a game that would be Marvel Vs. DC Crossover fighting game.
Boon’s exact words during the interview were:
I did. But I probably shouldn’t talk about it.
On the prospect of making a fighting game, he stated:
Oh God yes. We would love to make like a Marvel fighting game, or ‘Marvel vs. DC’ I think would be the coolest.
Fans of both franchises would be delighted to see the two worlds collide together. We have seen numerous DC characters battle the forces of evil in the Injustice franchise however we have never had a proper Marvel fighting game. The prospect of combining both Marvel and DC universes together is going to appeal to a large number of fans of both franchises.
