Larian Studios and Logic Artists have announced a new standalone title Divinity: Fallen Heroes which is set in the world of Divinity: Original Sin 2. The new title will be a different title from the normal Divinity formula and will see you controlling a flying battleship called The Lady Vengeance.
Divinity: Fallen Heroes will see some of the iconic characters return from the original franchise such as Fane, Ifan, Lohse, Sebille, the Red Emperor and Beast. Another brand new playable character has been added Malady which was an NPC in Divinity 2. You will be aboard The Lady Vengeance which has the power to harness the Source.
The game will feature over 30 different unit types and around 200 skills to equip for them. The title will demand more strategy and involvement like never before as the game allows both single player and co-op gameplay. The game will feature tactical combat and it will be unpredictable and can change anytime.
Check out the reveal trailer below.
Divinity: Fallen Heroes is essentially a tactical game however it still features some of the RPG mechanics built into it. Players will take on 60 hand-crafted missions and player choices will heavily influence the story and the future aspects of the game. The game will also bring multiple new features to the table as you lead your crew in your very own battleship.
You will have the option to research new gear, recruit more troops for your ship and level up different heroes of the franchise to make them more powerful. Players will have different interactive elements at their disposal such as Oil, Fire, Ice, Water, and Poison as well as the all-new Sulfurium element.
The game also introduces guns and rifles to the franchise and players will have the option to play with Gunpowder however swords and magic is still there for players to use whenever they want. The whole formula sounds very promising however at this point the developers have not revealed any sort of gameplay. More details will be revealed later about the title so keep checking back.
Divinity: Fallen Heroes is coming out in 2019 and will feature a multiple platform release.
