Discord Store Now Open to Everyone with a Variety of Indie Games

Discord has officially launched a beta of its new game store, which was previously announced back in August. The game store is open in all regions and will be available to everyone.

The company has said that the store is set to focus on providing users less with an endless set of games to choose from and more with a curated library of selection, with games like Dead Cells. Hollow Knight, and Celeste.

There will also be recommendations of what titles friends are playing and what the Discord Team is interested in. While new titles that come first on Discord than anywhere else will be titled “First on Discord” suggesting that the games will be exclusive for Discord for a period of time.

In addition, Discord’s subscription service; Nitro is also getting some upgrade changes as the collection of games will now become free for all the subscribers. The list includes a variety of games from small to big games as well as older titles like Metro: Last Light Redux, Psychonauts, and Brutal Legend. The subscription service costs $9.99/month or $99.99/year which will give you a list of 60 such games.

New features coming as an upgrade will include a slow mode that will limit how often users can send messages and an option to close direct messages from the in-game overlay. The app will now act as a hub for your games, including those that you did not but through the Discord store.

  • Spellforce 3
  • This is the Police 2
