Merge Games and Laser Dog announced their upcoming bloody roguelike game called DeathRun TV, which is a survival TV game show that displays a spectacle of blood-soaked action. The game was showcased with a gameplay trailer at the Future Games Show event.

DeathRun TV is a show where contestants risk everything to gather likes from audiences watching from all around the world, 23 hours a day. The entertainment, as they say, never ends.

The greatest game show on earth is here with breakneck speed, bullet-dodging action and lots of guns. Put it all on the line for the (rogue)likes. And remember, the run is all that matters.

The game takes place in a seriously disturbed future where the quest for the game and getting likes means everything. Contestants in DeathRun TV must battle their way through swarms of enemies dreamt up in a lab, all for the satisfaction of audiences that are glued to the show.

The main purpose of the contestants is to gain likes that are awarded for everything, from blowing up giant mutated creatures to choosing to save helpless humans attached to death contraptions. If you don’t feel like doing that, choose to hit the kill switch bringing all the creatures to a swift bloody end, while earning advanced weapons in the process.
