Developer The Knights of Unity has announced that they are heading to PAX East next week to showcase their upcoming title Death Roads: Tournament. Death Roads: Tournament is a unique title that combines deadly racing, deckbuilding, and roguelite into one to deliver car battles that are risky, explosive, and intense at the same time. Death Roads: Tournament is releasing in Early Access at the end of this month and if you want to give this game a try before its release, you can try it out at PAX East next week.

Death Roads: Tournament is a game inspired by the likes of Mad Max and puts you in a universe where you must battle for survival against a variety of deadly enemies while traveling at high speeds through dangerous wastelands. The developer is calling the game ‘roadlike’ since it brings the best of every genre it takes its inspiration from. You will find the strategic depth of games like Slay the Spire with the turn-based gameplay of Final Fantasy Tactics.
Surrounded by dangerous enemies, you will need to use your wits and skills to destroy everyone that comes in your path and travel through the wasteland. You will build a deck of powerful cards and hone your tactical skills as you use these cards effectively in different scenarios to emerge victorious at the end. The journey of Death Roads: Tournament will begin as an Early Access title and the game will continue to evolve during this phase. The Early Access version will offer players a range of features including a variety of characters and cars.
As the developer gains feedback, they will begin molding the game for its final release alongside its community. Death Roads: Tournament will release in Early Access on March 28, 2023, and you can wishlist the game on Steam right now if you are interested in playing it. In addition, The Knights of Unity will be present at Booth Number 19091 (Polish Booth) during the upcoming PAX East so you can try out the game there as well if you are heading there. A Closed Beta for the game was held last year.
