CORSAIR has announced the launch of its new innovating RMx SHIFT ATX 3.0 PSUs which allows gamers to build their rigs much more easily. Available in wattages from 750W up to 1200W, the new RMx SHIFT ATX 3.0 PSUs are fully modular 80 PLUS Gold-certified PSUs and they feature the DC connector panel on the side of the unit giving easier access to cables and simpler, cleaner cable management. Until now, all PSUs come with the DC connector panel at the front but with the RMx SHIFT ATX 3.0 PSUs, PC builders can now opt for a PSU that offers it on the side as well.
The RMx SHIFT Series’ repositioned side panel gives you a clear view and better access to all modular micro-fit connections, which makes connecting and maintaining the cables a breeze. Not only does this make attaching and detaching cables easy but it also means that they are not bent or twisted as much to reach the connectors thus prolonging their lives by resulting in less strain and a cleaner-looking build. All of the models of the RMx SHIFT are ATX 3.0 certified and PCIe 5.0 compliant for use in the most cutting-edge systems.
They help improve overall system performance and reliability as they provide the power needed to operate at the highest levels. With the included high-quality PCIe 5.0 12VHPWR GPU cable, the RMx SHIFT Series can be used with any modern GPUs such as the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series right out of the box. Featuring a fully modular design, you will need to connect only the cables that you really have to connect using the includes CORSAIR Type 5 Gen 1 micro-fit cables. To keep the PSU cooled, it has a 140mm fluid dynamic bearing fan that utilizes a special circulated fan curve for high performance, low noise, and superior reliability.
The fan also supports the ZERO RPG fan mode for near-silent operation at low loads. 80 Plus Gold and Cybernetics Gold-certified, the RMx SHIFT Series is rated for steady power output at up to 90% efficiency. It comes with 100% 105 C degree-rated Japanese electrolytic capacitors that guarantee unwavering power delivery along with long-term durability. The new RMx SHIFT PSUs have been tested in all current CORSAIR cases to ensure compatibility and has also updated the online PC Builder database with the most popular third-party cases.
CORSAIR will be verifying compatibility with most third-party cases and will continue to add that information to the PC Builder database over the coming weeks. As a general guideline, a minimum clearance of 30mm of open space to the side of the bottom compartment is necessary to accommodate the side-positioned connector panel. You can check the entire RMx SHIFT Series and go for the PSU that is suited to your build.
