After delaying the title, Vertigo Gaming has surprisingly launched the brand-new title in the franchise Cook Serve Forever on PC in Early Access. Announced back in April 2022, Cook Serve Forever was originally slated for an April 2023 release but near its launch, the game was delayed without any official release date or window. To our surprise, the developer has launched the early access version of the game after less than a month when the delay was announced and we are really happy to see it come out.
Check out the new launch trailer for Cook Serve Forever below to see the game in action:
Cook Serve Forever is indeed taking a new direction for the franchise and seems to be moving further ahead from the Previous Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?! that ditched the restaurant setting and went open world with a food truck design instead. Aesthetically, Cook Serve Forever takes a lot of ideas from the previous game but in terms of design, it is new. With its early access release, the game will feature roughly 25% of its campaign and story along with 100 recipes and variations, and over a dozen locations to cook in.
Additional content updates will be released for Cook Serve Forever in the coming weeks and months to add major content to the game including local co-op and more starting this summer. The developer is also looking forward to feedback during the early access period of the game which will allow them to finalize the 1.0 release of the game and add features and improvements to the game that players want. Cook Serve Forever follows the story of Nori Kaga, a home-taught chef with nothing to her name but a food cart and dreams to become like her role model, Culinary Queen, Chef Rhubarb.
In order to achieve her goal, Nori will chop, stir and saute her way through the bustling solarpunk city of Helianthus. You will manage your menu, learn delicious recipes, and meet a diverse cast of friends and enemies on your way to culinary greatness. The dynamic fully-voiced story features Elspeth Eastman (League of Legends), Maya Aoki Tuttle (Destiny 2), Emme Montgomery (Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?!), Broden Kelly (Aunty Donna), SungWon Cho (God of War: Ragnarök, Boyfriend Dungeon), Jennifer Roberts (Triangle Strategy) and more.
