Indie publisher Fellow Traveller has announced the PC and consoles release date of their upcoming title Citizen Sleeper. Citizen Sleeper is slated for release on Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Mac on May 5, 2022. It will also release day one on Xbox Game Pass. The narrative sci-fi RPG Citizen Sleeper is set in the ruins of interplanetary capitalism.
Citizen Sleeper comes from the studio Jump Over The Age which was behind the underwater exploration title In Other Waters. In Citizen Sleeper, you are a Sleeper – a digitized human consciousness who is on the run from the corporation that owns the artificial body that you inhabit. You have arrived at Erlin’s Eye which is a ruined space station on the edges of an interstellar capitalist society.
After arriving here, you start to build relationships with the station’s unique occupants and work to earn your place. The game takes its inspiration from various tabletop RPGs and it challenges you to rely on their intuition and make bold decisions to ensure that you survive in the game. The new trailer features music from the soundtrack composed by Amos Roddy (Kingdom: Two Crowns, In Other Waters, Strafe) and character art by renowned French comic book artist Guillaume Singelin. The full game offers a lot more from both of these amazing artists.
If you want to try out the title, it is currently featured in the London Games Festival and later it will be part of LudoNarraCon as well. LudoNarraCon is the indie digital convention hosted by Fellow Traveller and this year will take place from May 5th – May 9th. Citizen Sleeper is slated for release on Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Mac and will come out on May 5th which is also the first day of LudoNarraCon.
