Children of Morta Gets New Game Plus Mode in New Setting Sun Inn Update

Children of Morta was released last year and it was an excellent game that featured the adventures of the Bergson family. With continuous updates, the developer Dead Mage has ensured that players always had new reasons to come back to the game. The latest update Setting Sun Inn is now live for Children of Morta and it adds a challenging New Game Plus mode along with expanded lore and content.

Dead Mage and 11 bit studios have released the second free update for Children of Morta. This was earlier announced in the post-launch roadmap of the game and now the update has finally arrived. The New Game Plus mode will allow players to start the journey all over again once they have finished the game however this time around, they will have increased difficulty, higher character skill point caps, and additional upgrades in both Ben’s workshop and Margaret’s lab.

The free update also adds additional lore to the game with more than 50 new cutscenes, home events, and activities. These additional pieces of the story allow you to further strengthen your bond with the Bergon family and the world of Rea. New family-related quests have also arrived in Children of Morta which will appear during the first playthrough of the game as well. Players on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch can now download the free update and jump in the New Game Plus mode.

Children of Morta Setting Sun Inn update contains:

New Game Plus mode where players keep previously unlocked characters, skill tree progress, resources, Ben’s workshop and Book of Rea upgrades, all while playing through even more challenging content

  • 20 new cutscenes
  • 8 new Home Interactive Events to liven up the Bergson family home
  • 26 new Home Idle Activities to keep the Bergsons occupied
  • 14 new Family Events and Quests in the Dungeons
  • 3 new Side Quest Traits
  • Balance changes and bug fixes
