Children of Morta is Getting Tons of DLC in 2020, DLC Roadmap Released

Dead Mage and 11 bit Studios have announced that they are not done with their latest story-driven rogue-lite RPG Children of Morta. They’ve revealed a detailed roadmap for Children of Morta which shows a lot of free and paid DLC and expansions planned for the game in 2020. Children of Morta was a big success this year in terms of both commercially and creatively. We loved Children of Morta as well in our review of the console version of the game.

Children of Morta managed to break even on its development costs in just three days after releasing and it is an amazing milestone to achieve to such a short time in today’s saturated market. Now the studio wants to thank its community with plenty of free DLC that goes well in 2020. Players will be glad to know that the majority of this announced DLC will be free of cost and only 1 expansion on the list Uncharted Lands is marked as a paid expansion.

Children of Morta DLC Roadmap

According to the official press release, the roadmap showcases the following free and paid DLC for Children of Morta in 2020:

  • Shrine of Challenge (I) introduces hard difficulty and an item pack with more than 20 new items including Charms, Divine Graces and Divine Relics.
  • Setting Sun Inn (II) invites you to New Game+ mode in which players carry their unlocked characters, skill tree, Morv, and Workshop Upgrades into a new playthrough after completing the game.
  • Random Encounter (!) means what it says and says what it means – you’ll never know what you might find here!
  • In the Bergsons’ House (III) a new playable character awaits.
  • The Fellowship Sanctuary (IV) adds the much anticipated online co-op to the game.
  • Temple of the Endless (V) contains a series of arenas with waves of enemies, mini-bosses, and a new boss. This Endless Mode fully supports online co-op.
  • The Treasure (VI) update will contain more than 30 new items including Charms, Divine Graces and Divine Relics.
  • All this should prepare you for The Uncharted Lands (VII). The next journey for the Bergson family will be a brand new DLC chapter with the main quest and a home event, another playable hero, new enemies, and a new boss.

The developers have also announced that the soothing soundtrack of Children of Morta is also now available on YouTube, Spotify, and iTunes for fans who want to listen to the OST wherever they go. Children of Morta is now available on PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
