Soedesco has announced a new first-person horror mystery game called Charon’s Staircase, which is said to be launching in October 20. The game comes after the publisher announced its partnership with Spanish independent video game developer Indigo Studios.

The announcement was accompanied by a teaser trailer for the game, showing the premise and the ominous atmosphere that the game will be featuring.

In this first-person horror mystery game, you set out to bury the horrible past of a tyrannical government. Retrieve and destroy the documents that unravel the secrets that lie beneath Oack Grove. Will you discover the terrifying truth and find your way out?

The trailer showcased the areas of the dark and grim Oack Grove, the game is inspired by vintage Central-European era, while the atmosphere of the game gives off a dark Victorian ambience. As the story of Charon’s Staricase unfolds in the trailer, it gives us a glimpse of the horror that you will be facing in the game.

In Charon’s Staircase, you will be playing as an agent codenamed Desmond, sent by The Ministry, and tasked with retrieving and destroying classified documents from the Oack Grove Estate, that reveal horrifying activities of the past. The journey, however, will be far from pleasant as you discover the gruesome Project Alpha.
