Game studio and publisher RapidEyeMovers and VR pioneer developer Wolf & Wood have announced the launch of the title C-Smash VRS for PS VR2. C-Smash VRS is the complete reimagining of SEGA’s classic Dreamcast and Arcade game and it will now release on PS VR2 and will also support online gameplay. You can check out the small teaser of C-Smash VRS to see the game in VR:
C-Smash VRS combines the low-gravity form of Squash with timed block-breaking challenges. The game brings together the very best of racket sports and timeless action puzzle gameplay. You will be dashing and ducking from one side to the other and performing different intense shots as you trick smashes by using the walls. The game offers dozens of levels of fun and fitness which can be enjoyed solo, co-op, or online with random players from around the world.
C-Smash VRS delivers ultra-smooth gameplay which helps in landing mind-bending trick shots and that combined with slow-mo delivers a next-level experience. Thanks to the intuitive controls, finger detection, 3D audio, and haptics, you will learn the basics and feel fully immersed in the game within mere minutes. All of this is done while listening to original dynamic tracks by DJ Ken Ishii (Rez Infinite) and synth master Danalogue (front man of The Comet is Coming and Soccer 96).
C-Smash VRS is the second collaboration between director Jorg Tittel and World & Wood. Their first title is ‘The Last Worker’ which is the only game selected for the 78th Venice Film Festival and is nearing its release on VR, consoles, and PC. A demo for C-Smash VRS will be released first on PS VR2 and you will be able to try it out while the full game is also slated for a 2023 release on PS VR2. Additional details about the game will be released later.
