Probably the most notable feature of the updated version is its visual upgrade. Backgrounds have been repainted from the original line art created by Don Bluth’s layout artists, and over 30,000 character sprites have been redrawn and reanimated to breathe new life into the game’s vibrant world. The audio has also received significant enhancements, offering higher fidelity to the dialogues and a refreshed take on the iconic soundtrack composed by the late Barrington Pheloung, providing a richer auditory experience.

Broken Sword – Shadow of the Templars: Reforged introduces a new ‘story mode’ that dynamically balances narrative and gameplay to offer a seamless experience tailored for modern you. This mode is designed to guide newcomers through the game with subtle hints, ensuring that they can enjoy the story without getting stuck on the challenging puzzles that are a hallmark of the series.
