PM Studios has released a free patch for Bluey’s Quest for the Gold Pen, adding full voice narration throughout the entire game across all platforms. Developed in collaboration with Radical Forge and Halfbrick Studios, along with BBC Studios and Ludo Studio as partners, Bluey’s Quest for the Gold Pen is a brand-new Bluey adventure with an all-original story.
With the new update, players will now hear special dialogue at key locations in different levels, such as when spawning in a level, speaking with NPCs, and other key spots. In the base version, voice narration was available only in cutscenes. The real cast of Bluey has returned for this voice narration, delivering an authentic experience.
Voice narration makes it easier for younger players to follow the story without needing to read, lowering the barrier for the seven-and-under crowd the game is primarily aimed at. The patch also brings Steam Deck Verified status, confirming optimized handheld performance for families who want to take the adventure on the go. Players can now enjoy Bluey’s latest adventure anywhere they go, without the need to bring with them heavy hardware.
Bluey’s Quest for the Gold Pen features an original story written by Bluey creator Joe Brumm, fully animated cutscenes, and the original voice cast from the television series. The game offers sandbox-type gameplay with open levels, where players can explore using a variety of tools like bicycles, gliders, and jetpacks. Each level has different collectibles that allow progression to the next level.
Bluey’s Quest for the Gold Pen is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
