Nintendo has revealed that Bayonetta 3 features a playable teaser of Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon. Bayonetta 3 is the latest title in the critically acclaimed Bayonetta franchise and Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is the next title announced in the franchise which goes over the origins of the story and how the story initially began. Turns out the sneaky developers hid a playable teaser of the upcoming title in Bayonetta 3, and you can play it right now to get a small taste of the upcoming title.

If you are interested in trying it out, here’s how you can access it. As detailed by Nintendo, your very first step has to be updating the Nintendo Switch console and the game to the very latest versions. Bayonetta 3 has to be version v.1.2.0 Once done, you can head over to the in-game shop ‘The Gates of Hell’. Once there, purchase the Old Picture Book and this will unlock the playable teaser from the chapter select screen. Now you can try out a small portion of Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon inside Bayonetta 3.

In Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon, you will be going back in time to learn everything that started the Umbra Witch’s story. It features a completely different gameplay style and a beautiful and colorful art style, something that is not common for mainstream Bayonetta titles. In Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon, you will take control of Cereza and her first demon Cheshire as you will fend off faeries and solve puzzles to progress in the game.

Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is slated for release exclusively on Nintendo Switch on March 17, 2023. The game was announced during The Game Awards 2022.
