Interplay Entertainment and Wizards of the Coast have announced the release date of the remastered Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance 2. Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance 2 will release on July 20, 2022, and will come out on Steam and Steamdeck along with Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance 2 comes after the successful re-release of the original Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance and it boasts up to 4K native resolutions along with plenty of other modern features to make the title more accessible to modern players. The game is based in and around the city of Baldur’s Gate and has the option of choosing from 5 playable characters and classes and it spans over dozens of locations for you to explore in the game.
The game also features the ability to create custom weapons and armor and you can further improve these items by adding runestones and gems. The game’s main story can be played in four difficulty options “Easy”, “Normal”, “Hard” and “Extreme”. The five classes in the game include barbarian, monk, necromancer, rogue, and cleric. After choosing your favorite class, you will fight through hordes of monsters ranging from Hobgoblins, Ghouls, Golems, and dreaded Dragons.

All versions of Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance 2 also support local co-op play and the Steam version of the game will also support Remote Play which will allow you to play with players over a long distance as well. The game will release fully verified for Steam Deck which means that you will be able to experience the game on the go with Valve’s latest handheld.
